The problem is, people also have the attention span of a pea. (Trust me, I know I do.) We land on a website, stay for five seconds and then get distracted. Just have a look at your Google Analytics to see the average amount of time new visitors stay on your website. Our goal is to capture these leads as quickly as possible before they navigate away—to have a medium to continue the communication. This allows for more time to win them over and allow them to get to know you. It goes back to building that know, trust and like factor—and what better way to do that than with MORE TIME?
The number one way that so many people go wrong with their e-mail marketing strategy is that they bombard their followers with spam. Seriously, don’t send out a BS email filled with a ton of SALESY crap. That era of churn and burn marketing is over. Let it go.
If you want to build and nurture valuable relationships with your tribe—the kind of relationships that leads to lifetime customers and clients—then over-deliver on useful content. Put regular awesomeness in their inbox, along with personal emails and other things your readers love. The more epic, the better.

This is what will elevate your emails from okay to brilliant. Don’t be afraid to share what sets you apart—your mindset and that way of doing things that is uniquely you.
