It’s a brand new year, and I’m inviting you to master marketing in 2015. We’ll break this journey into steps through the blog, and the first, in January will be Content Marketing (AKA focusing on your content like Blogging & Content Creation to increase traffic to your website).

Do you have a have a blog? Do you write regularly? Or do you still need to set one up? Here’s why you should start now:

Blog Because It’s A New Year

No matter where you’re starting, January is the month to set up your blogging to increase traffic to your website strategy for the year. Not simply because it’s a chance for a new beginning, but also because it’s a time when you’re setting goals, intentions and marketing plans for other areas of your business. Your blog content can and should tie into these goals and activities to ensure your business grows in 2015. And blogging is the easiest (and most organic) way to get new website traffic to your site. Fresh traffic and links mean that Google raises your ranking through SEO, resulting in more new traffic/clients/customers, and MORE MONEY.

Blog content you create this year will affect your business for years to come, building relationships and sharing your wisdom. Blogging is a great way to share what you know and develop resources for you clients and customers to share. Virality is always a goal; genuinely create what others desperately want, and they’ll share it with their networks.

So many coaches and business leaders will tell you to blog consistently. And I agree. But I want to inspire you to blog BIG in 2015. No more hiding and hoarding your knowledge. Call in more followers and soon-to-customers. Connected deeply by demonstrating your value and expertise and improve your Google ranking at the same time. Ask yourself the questions below and begin the written tradition of blogging your knowledge for MORE 2015 website traffic.

Q: What areas of knowledge can you consistently create content on?

Q: What content will convert a potential client to a signed customer?

Pro Tip: You are accessible to potential clients if you share content in your voice, with your style, through your lens of experience.

Q: Who do you want to reach? What can you offer them specifically? What is your mission?

Pro Tip: Demonstrate why you are the best man or woman for the job you do. Let the world know why you’re an expert.

Q: When can you begin?

Let us ring in 2015 with the simple answers.

Blog Because You’re An Expert

Q: What areas of knowledge can you consistently create content on?

I started blogging for all the reasons above and to establish my credibility & value directly to followers. My mentors have always told me that audiences want to you to share as much as possible. (And they were right!)

As an expert in your area, you have the resources to consistently demonstrate your knowledge effortlessly. You are the only one in the world who knows what you know, how you’ve learned and experienced it. Share from your perspective. Consistency is key in content creation and blogging; it’s almost as important as ensuring high quality writing. Let your followers depend on you. Take care of them with the amazing tools and articles you write, and, in turn, they’ll rely on you for the best advice marketing and branding strategy.

Blog To Tip The Scales

Q: What content will convert a potential client to a signed customer?

When you blog, you’ll not only be a trusted resource, but you’ll also be able to share your content to woo potential customers. When in sales conversations with clients, there’s nothing like an already published and shared blog post to answer their question and show that you’re a perfect fit. Always write content that your soon-to-be customers need and want to read right now.

Blog To Leave An Impression

Pro Tip: You are accessible to potential clients if you share content in your voice, with your style, through your lens of experience.

I blog to share myself. To let my followers (who are always potential buyers and members of my tribe) in the loop. I talk a lot about the Know, Like, Trust evolution of potential customers & clients. Blogging is one way to move from Know to Trust quickly. Your readers begin to feel who you are and what you value by each word and topic you choose.

If potential clients see you as a teacher and that your program, product or service is for them, it will ring true when they read your words. They’ll be connected to you for a lifetime of customer loyalty if you start blogging consistently today.

Blog To Speak To Your Tribe

Q: Who do you want to reach? What can you offer them specifically? What is your mission?

When writing content for my blog, I speak to the trailblazing business owners – those big dreamers who embody an entrepreneurial passion and/or have a side gig already. I write for beginners who are just starting their journey and for 6 or 7-figure business owners who are always hungry to brush up their skills and learn more to streamline their marketing and branding. I love entrepreneurs who are hungry to make money AND make an impact in this world.

I blog to share my personal experience – good and bad – to show my tribe that they’re not alone. And that I am not perfect, but I learn valuable lessons every single day. I blog to show my tribe best practices and to remind them that everything is figure-out-able, even if it feels bleak and scary at the time. I blog as a reminder that entrepreneurship does not have to be isolating; we are all here to support one another. I blog because I believe entrepreneurs are here to change the world, one business at a time and that in fact, we already are shifting consciousness. I blog to encourage my readers to engage & connect with me and my team to implement the strategies I recommend. I blog to invite solopreneurs to leave the doing-it-by-myself mindset behind to build their virtual team, to create their legacy empire.

You don’t have to be a workaholic to succeed, but you do need community and accountability. I write to show my tribe that balance between work and play is possible. Because I live it everyday. And I write to share my adventures in changing and exploring the world as an entrepreneur, offering location-independent advice and ideas on how to run a business for the road. I write to share my experiences and to show others that far more is possible than they ever thought.

Blog Because You’re One Of A Kind

Pro Tip: Demonstrate why you are the best man or woman for the job you do. Let the world know why you’re an expert.

I’m an expert because I’ve mentored with many of the top female marketing entrepreneurs out there. I have invested years, hundreds of thousands of my hard-earned money and made the mistakes so you don’t have to. I’ve founded and run my own successful coaching practice, twice: Now every single one of my clients becomes a success story, doubling and tripling their annual income and increasing their social media and blog engagement by more than 100%. They sell out tours and retreats, fill coaching practices, launch their first live events and develop the confidence to market their businesses globally to always meet sales goals.

Every entrepreneur has success stories that make them stand out. Don’t be afraid to share yours, and to show off your unique expertise, in your blog. Share stories of your clients or customers. Showcase yourself and your experience. Your readers want to delve deeper into why they need to listen to you.

Blog Because The Time Is Now

Q: When can you begin?

Speak to your tribe. Tell them who you are and what you’re about. Tell them what you’ll be providing for them. You can even ask what they want.

Start somewhere. Start now. Start a blogging habit as part of your marketing routine.

Write a little. Write a lot. Just start writing, daily and see what you’re inspired to share.

I recommend weekly blogging. But if you struggle to create content that frequently, every other week can work for your brand as well, as long as you commit to a consistent marketing calendar throughout the year. Don’t miss a week, get writing now!
